Willy Mason is an easy character to romanticize. The direct descendent of philosopher William James (the brother of Henry James) and the son of two folk singers, Mason was only 19 when he released his first album, 2004s Where the Humans Eat. His single Oxygen, an unpretentious anti-materialism ode to the forgotten America, announced him as a fresh face of folk and peaked at Number 23 on the UK charts. Three years later, he released If the Ocean Gets Rough. Then, after years of touring, Mason took a break and returned to his hometown, Marthas Vineyard. Mason continues to record and release new music and has toured with Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros among others.
The Horse-Eyed Men

The HorseEyed Men are two brothers Noah and Dylan Harley who play original, disgruntled Americana and country. Raised by musical humans in a former candy store outside of Providence R.I., one or both of them have played for years throughout Europe and the U.S. under various monikers: The Cowboy Killers, The Rosewater Ladies, and most recently with the neodiluvian klezmer outfit Tik Tok Laboratories. Their music mixes
spaghettiwestern themes with cabaret, ragtime, and postpartum punk. Their latest album, Grave Country, was recorded in Copenhagen on a grant from the Danish Arts Council in the summer of 2013, and will come out in late May of this year.
